I have always been an adventurous eater but sometimes that can backfire. By the time I had arrived to Bucaramanga from Santa Marta, I had utterly drained all of my insides on the overnight bus’s toilet. Yes, I did in fact shit myself from food poisoning while traveling around Colombia and to top it all off… I decided I couldn’t pass up a chance to go paragliding over Chicamocha Canyon a couple days later.
Tayrona Park in Colombia, is a large protected area between the foothill of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the Caribbean coast. It is absolutely beautiful and a must when visiting Colombia. Crystal clear waters, animals all around and hammock huts are all part of this stunning park’s charm!
Barranquilla, Colombia was a whirlwind experience that I was not prepared for. Before coming here I knew nothing about this place and additionally I had no idea that Barranquilla held the second largest Carnival in South America, next to Rio de Janeiro. We came to Barranquilla specifically for Carnival and left exhausted before it had even ended but boy, was it a party!
I am Coco! I turned 30 recently and decided it was time to start living the life I had always dreamed of. So I sold almost all of my belongings and hit the road to travel the world. I photograph people and places along the way.
